Pei, the 17th Hebrew letter is symbolic of the mouth. Research proves that women speak more words in a day than men, of which the virtuous woman is not an exception. But then, the distinctive feature is the content of her words. Proverbs 31:26 teaches that she, the virtuous woman, opens her mouth with wisdom and on her tongue are the laws of kindness. Psalm 119:129-136 is also represented with this same symbol. Her words are worth treasuring in hearts and minds. Her words bring or complete the solution to problems. Her words bring understanding. Her words are the only encouraging words one could think of in the days of trouble. Simply, her words are a panacea.
Insults, gossips, discouragement, curses, nags, and lies are mostly associated to women. This is not the ultimate picture, the virtuous woman speaks the very words of God; her words are in season. It is not lipstick that makes the mouth beautiful but the words brought forth.
No one can give what he/she doesn’t have. The manifestations of the virtuous woman are stemming from her nature. Bible says out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. This means she is full of the word of God, she has the nature of God: this is the secret. She keeps the word of God and not from just memorised words but words spoken from the heart, capable of touching another heart. Halelluah!
