“No, I won’t marry her. Why? Because she is not a marriage material”. What are men trying to communicate by this common reason? What kind of lady are they looking for? They are simply after a HOME MAKER. 

The fourth characteristic of the virtuous woman is that she is a HOME MAKER.  She seeks after what will make her home great and puts in effort to let them reflect in the life of each member of her household (Proverbs 31:13)

There she is, in search of how to keep the house in order, how to cook delicious meals, how to maintain unity, how to speak, how to raise responsible kids, how to incorporate the fear of Elohim, how to forgive one another and all the other materials needed to build a successful home. 

When she has discovered these materials needed in making a home great,  she willingly works to make them a part of her life first   (because she knows that no one can give what he does not have) before making it reflect in her household.

My lady, I challenge you to be a HOME MAKER. 

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VIRTUOUS WOMAN 3

Character #3

This character of the Virtuous Woman is actually my favourite and has hence necessitated a promise I have made myself: “I will do him good and not evil all the days of my life” (Proverbs 31:12).

Which character am I talking about?

FAITHFULNESS. 

FAITHTULNESS is a virtue and the make of the Virtuous Woman.

A faithful wife is like the camel, and like the camel she is the faithful companion of the traveller (husband) upon the desert. She makes up her mind to remain faithful in both times of good and bad. Her mindset is echoed in the words of the officiating minister at the marriage altar –  “… for richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health… till death do you part”. Faithfulness defined!

And so, I ask you aspiring Virtuous Woman. Would you be faithful in times when…

• Your mother -in-law pressurises you to give her a grandchild after five years of marriage?
• You have become the sole bread-winner of the family?
• Your boss is offering a solution to your family’s financial predicaments in exchange for extramarital affairs?

Bear this in mind that, the richest man on earth is not necessarily the one with the greatest wealth, rather, the one surrounded with faithful men. The price of the Virtuous Woman is far above rubies (Proverbs 31:10).

I entreat you to be faithful at all times as a wife, a mother, and a woman. For the presence of a faithful wife is a fountain of eternal peace, joy, and happiness.

BE A VIRTUOUS WOMAN!

Galatians 5:22,23

“What a friend we have in Jesus…” we always sing with joy and excitement. But, have we realized what we are saying to the world by singing that song? All who have seen us, Christians, should see Jesus Christ because we have the Holy Spirit, the spirit of Christ, in us. We are the embodiment of the character of Christ.

The character of Christ is in the Fruits of the Holy Spirit and those fruits are LOVE, PEACE, JOY, HAPPINESS, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, PATIENCE, LONG SUFFERING, SELF CONTROL, GENTLENESS, – Galatians 5:22,23. But rather unfortunate, we are boastful, proud, sexually immoral, gluttons, impatient, jealous, quick to anger, lustful, sad, hopeless, not trustworthy, liars, cheaters, slanderers, gossips, and all the traits of the enemy, satan.

Inasmuch as Christ wants to speak to the world through our songs, testimonies, circumstances, and more especially our lives and ways, the world is also eager to see the character of our Lord Jesus Christ in us everyday.

Let us endeavour to with boldness show the world Christ, our friend, for the world to show us our character by virtue of the friendship we have with Him. Help us Lord. Amen!

 

CHARACTERISTICS OF A VIRTUOUS WOMAN 2

CHARACTER #2

Every virtuous woman is TRUSTWORTHY. As a result the heart of her husband safely trusts her (Proverbs 31:11). The virtuous woman can be entrusted with money, great ideas and plans, representing him at important meetings, valuable documents, children upbringing without thinking twice.

Today, secrecy is crouching into homes because couples cannot trust each other. This ought not be so! As a woman of virtue you ought to build yourself into a tent of trust that all men, not only your husband can safely rest.

How can this character become a part of us? Through the renewing of our mind.  Here is what I do: I have this picture imprinted in my mind “my shoulder is reliable, lean on it”.

BE A SIGNPOST AND A FOLLOWER

            John 1:6-9

The Christian task is that of John the Baptist – to point the light, Jesus, to world and follow it. It is often said of Christians nowadays that they are only signposts because they point the way but never follow it themselves. Our task, as we all are aware, is to be John the Baptist of our generation, to point Jesus to the world and follow Him ourselves.

Let’s diligently point Jesus and the kingdom of the Lord to the world and follow it with all humility. John the Baptist, our number one mentor in this regard, was beheaded in delivering this particular task. Do not fear the world, just deliver your God given task whilst you live. God be with us all.

Character #1
In your own opinion, what single word would you use to describe the characteristics of a virtuous woman? 

Asset is the word. ASSET not LIABILITY. I will urge every man in search of a virtuous woman to be on the lookout for a lady who is and will be an asset in your Christian life, career, financial life,  marital life and every other aspect of life. For her price is far above rubies (Proverbs 31:10). 

The big question to the ladies then is “what steps must I take to be an ASSET”? Leave a comment. 

The first step I will recommend is that you make up your mind to consciously apply yourself to these truths being unveiled.

​PREPARE, AND BE EVER-READY FOR NO ONE KNOWS WHEN

Scriptural reference: Matthew 25:1-13
“The Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of ten bridesmaids* who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. 2 Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. 3 The five who were foolish didn’t take enough olive oil for their lamps, 4 but the other five were wise enough to take along extra oil. 5 When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep. 

6 “At midnight they were roused by the shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!’ 

7 “All the bridesmaids got up and prepared their lamps. 8 Then the five foolish ones asked the others, ‘Please give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’ 

9 “But the others replied, ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for yourselves.’ 

10 “But while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked. 11 Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling, ‘Lord! Lord! Open the door for us!’ 

12 “But he called back, ‘Believe me, I don’t know you!’ 

13 “So you, too, must keep watch! For you do not know the day or hour of my return. 
The message in this text is laconically the title of this post. But a talkative as I am, I beseech your kindest permission to add small to it. Thank you, and May God Bless you.

When the bridegroom (Jesus) comes and you miss out, I’m sorry to tell you that you’ve missed out completely. Bottom-line. There is going to be no reason acceptable to Him like, “I’ve been waiting for you all this while, but I just went out there to make a point to those haters and distractors that I can also be as bad”, “It’s just a slip”, “I did not know it’s going to be this soon”, etc.

Like the Bible tells us, the enemy comes only to rob us of our goodies and impoverish us, so be prayerful, watchful, and tactful in your dealings in this world. Brother, light the fire and have everything to keep it burning at all times so you do not miss out like the five ‘foolish’ bridesmaids in the reference above for no one knows when the savoir will be coming again – not even the savior Himself – Matthew 24:36.

Characteristics of a virtuous woman

At first they said women should stay home, men will work to cater for the home. Then women decided to work to support the financial needs of the home. Great idea! But over time it seems some women have grown to love working for income so much that some have overlooked their primary role. 

Let me announce to you that the success of a wife or a mother is measured first from the SUCCESS OF HER HOME.  Get ready to work on your mindset my lady and let the young men learn how to discover a virtuous wife.

​It should be the utmost priority of every woman to be a virtuous wife. Likewise, all men should be greatly concerned in discovering a virtuous woman for a wife.
